The Official Adoptive Family Schedule In Hong Kong

Flight leaves 3:30 p.m. from Detroit on Saturday, August 20th. We arrive in Hong Kong on Sunday, August 21st at 7:20pm which will be 7:20 AM in Lynchburg!  Hm, what to do for 15 hours on a plane??

Monday, August 22

8:30 a.m. – First meeting with Joel at Mother’s Choice 🙂

9:15 a.m. – Outing with Joel

1:00 p.m. – Back to Mother’s Choice to bond and observe Joel’s daily schedule

4:00 p.m. – Todd and I go to the hotel for dinner and rest; Joel stays at Mother’s Choice

Tuesday, August 23

10:45 a.m. – Meeting with the Adoption Unit Social Worker; take Joel to hotel and have bonding time

3:00 p.m. – Take Joel back to Mother’s Choice; meet with other staff who work with Joel

4:30 p.m. – Todd and I go to the hotel for dinner and rest; Joel stays at Mother’s Choice

Wednesday, August 24*

9:30 a.m. – Bonding time with Joel; he says farewell to his caregivers and friends

10:45 a.m. – Joel moves out of Mother’s Choice

12:00 p.m. – Lunch and Sightseeing (Kowloon Park or Museum visit)

*Joel’s first night with us 🙂

Thursday, August 25

11:00 a.m. – Meet up with social worker for sightseeing (Star Ferry to Hong Kong Island or Museum visit); Lunch

2:00 p.m. – Sightseeing at the Peak

Friday, August 26

11:00 a.m. – Shopping at the Lady’s Market; Lunch

2:00 p.m. – Get packed up

Saturday, August 27

5:50 a.m. – Leave hotel for airport! Fly home!

11:45 p.m. (EST) – Arrive in Norfolk and head back to Lynchburg

Only God knows the fun and challenge we are about to embrace!  It’s a meld of emotions with intermittent reminders that God is faithful and steadfast. Thank you for praying with us!
